AI Airport Services Limited (AIASL), formerly known as Air India Air Transport Services Limited (AIATSL), invites eligible and qualified candidates for recruitment to a total of 105 vacancies for the positions of Dy. Chief Security Officer, Assistant Regional Security Coordinator, RA Chief Security Officer, Officer-Security, and Junior Officer-Security. The recruitment process will be conducted through Walk-In Interviews scheduled for 29th, 30th & 31st January 2024.

1.Deputy Chief Security OfficerCandidate should have completed full-time graduation from a recognized university under the 10+2+3 pattern and must possess BCAS valid Basic AVSEC (13 days) / valid Refresher certificate. Preference will be given to those who have undergone BCAS certified AVSEC Managers / Supervisors Course.Candidate should have a minimum of 05 years’ experience in security functioning as Executive/Manager in Airlines Airport Operator or BCAS approved Ground Handler appointed by any Airport Operator at any airport or Airport Operator or Regulated Agent working in Cargo Warehouse or in combination thereof, with good exposure to Aviation Security Regulations and BCAS requirements, appropriate knowledge of Orders/Circulars and guidelines issued by BCAS/Regulator Authorities. Preference will be given to candidates with a Post Graduate qualification and having the maximum number of years of experience with an Airline or Airport Operator or BCAS approved Ground Handler appointed by any Airport Operator at any airport or in combination thereof.Rs. 60,000/- (All inclusive)Maximum 50 Years. Candidates belonging to OBC Category are entitled to 3 years of age relaxation, and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to 5 years of age relaxation, in the upper age limit, as per Government rules.
2.RA Chief Security OfficerCandidate must have completed full-time graduation from a recognized university under the 10+2+3 pattern. Must possess a valid Basic AVSEC certificate (13 Days) / valid Refresher Course and be competent enough to qualify for advance security courses of BCAS. Preference given to those with Valid Cargo Supervisor certification / Valid Aviation Cargo Security Certification / valid DGR Certification. The candidate should possess good oral and written communication skills with sound knowledge of the computer system.
Candidate should have a minimum of 07 years of working experience in BCAS approved Air Cargo Warehouse / Regulated Agent. Should have a good understanding of BCAS requirements, appropriate knowledge of instructions issued by BCAS, and other regulatory guidelines.Rs.50,000/- (All inclusive)Maximum 50 Years. Candidates belonging to OBC Category are entitled to 3 years of age relaxation, and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to 5 years of age relaxation, in the upper age limit, as per Government rules.
3Assistant Regional Security Coordinator– Qualification: Candidates should have completed full-time graduation from a recognized university under the 10+2+3 pattern. Must hold a valid basic AVSEC certificate (13 days) / valid refresher certificate and be competent enough to qualify for advance security courses conducted by BCAS. The candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills with sound knowledge of the computer system.Experience: Candidate should have a minimum of 05 years post-qualification experience as Agent/Supervisor in an Airline or Airport Operator or BCAS approved Ground Handler appointed by any Airport Operator at any airport or in combination thereof / Regulated Agent security operations & Administration. Should have a good understanding of BCAS & DGCA requirements, appropriate knowledge of guidelines issued by Regulatory Authorities, and proficiency in office automation tools of the computer system will be preferred.Rs.40,000/- (All inclusive)Maximum 45 Years. Candidates belonging to OBC Category are entitled to 3 years of age relaxation, and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to 5 years of age relaxation, in the upper age limit, as per Government rules.
4Officer SecurityQualification: Candidates should have completed full-time graduation (10+2+3) and must possess a valid basic AVSEC (13 days) & valid refresher certificate, along with a valid Screener certification. Preference will be given to candidates who have undergone AVSEC Supervisor course / cargo supervisor course / valid Aviation Cargo Security Certification & valid DGR Certification.The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills with sound knowledge of the computer system. Officer Security has to appear for Re-certification courses approved by BCAS. He/she should possess at all times a valid Screener certificate course and Valid Basic AVSEC Course. In case the employee fails the screener certification re-validation test (they have to appear every two years for re-validating the certification), the amount of Rs.1500 payable every month would be withheld until the employee clears the re-validation exam.Rs.45,000/- (All inclusive)Maximum 50 Years. Candidates belonging to OBC Category are entitled to 3 years of age relaxation, and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to 5 years of age relaxation, in the upper age limit, as per Government rules.
5Junior Officer-SecurityQualification: Candidates should have completed full-time graduation (10+2+3) and possess a valid basic AVSEC (13 days) certificate/valid refresher Certificate. The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills with sound knowledge of the computer system. –Jr. Officer-Security has to appear for BCAS recertification for basic AVSEC (3 days) certificate course every two years. She/He will be paid AVSEC allowances of Rs.1000/- per month on passing the Basic AVSEC (13 days) course and Re-certification Course. He/she should always be in possession of a Valid basic AVSEC certification. – In case the employee fails the basic AVSEC revalidation test, the amount of Rs.1000/- payable every month would be withheld until the employee clears the re-validation exam.Rs.28,200/- (All inclusive)Maximum 45 Years. Candidates belonging to OBC Category are entitled to 3 years of age relaxation, and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to 5 years of age relaxation, in the upper age limit, as per Government rules.
Age Relaxation: Candidates from the OBC category are eligible for a 3-year age relaxation, while candidates from the SC/ST category are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation in the upper age limit, as per the rules of the Government.

AIASL Recruitment 2024: -Position Wise

  1. Job Description – Deputy Chief Security Officer :-
  • Report to Chief Security Officer (CSO), AIASL.
  • Serve as the second-in-command Incharge of all Security activities and assist the CSO in implementing AVSEC and other Security Functions mandated by BCAS and AIASL.
  • As Deputy Chief Security Officer (Dy.CSO), be accountable for all security-related functions in compliance with Orders/Circulars, rules, regulations, and guidelines issued by government agencies such as BCAS, DGCA, etc., ensuring the implementation of security measures safeguarding Civil Aviation in India.
  • Indicative duties include ensuring the implementation of mandated security measures by BCAS and other Regulatory Authorities, overseeing the entire security functioning in the best interest of the organization and aviation, and assisting in establishing an internal control system.
  • Establish contact with appropriate authorities in case of reporting any incidents and unlawful activities. Ensure the implementation of Security Measures as per the Security Program of AIASL at each operating airport and take corrective action in case of security lapses or observations made by inspecting officials.
  • Ensure the regular conduct of the Security Awareness Program and arrange for the issuance of Airport Entry Permits for AIASL staff across the network.
  • Perform any other functions as required by AIASL from time to time.

2. Job Description – RA Chief Security Officer :-

  • Report to Chief Security Officer-AIASL.
  • Ensure the implementation of security provisions prescribed by BCAS.
  • Supervise the work of the security staff.
  • Establish an internal control system to prevent contamination of security-cleared cargo.
  • Establish contact with appropriate authorities in case of discovering unlawful incidents, such as arms, ammunition, explosives, or other unlawful goods in a consignment.
  • As RA-CSO, be accountable and responsible for all security-related functions of the warehouse mandated by BCAS and other Regulatory Authorities.
  • Conduct frequent checks on all functions/processes in the cargo warehouse and resolve discrepancies with the help of the Manager Cargo.
  • Send a monthly report on the activities of the Cargo Warehouse to CSO-AIASL, detailing the implementation of instructions issued from time to time.
  • Ensure that all security operational equipment remains in working order.
  • Perform any other function as required by AIASL from time to time.

3. Job Description – Assistant Regional Security Coordinator –

  • Assist the regional security coordinator to achieve the common objective of the company.
  • Report to the Region Security Coordinator of the respective region.
  • Execute tasks as directed periodically.

4. Job Description – Officer-Security :-

  • Implement AVSEC rules related to Cargo/Regulated Agent as outlined in the Cargo Security Manual of AIASL.
  • Conduct screening of all cargo consignments, mail, and goods using appropriate methods, considering the nature of the consignment.
  • Screening to be performed by trained and BCAS certified screeners authorized by concerned airlines and agencies, following instructions issued by the Director General, BCAS.
  • Physically check consignments that cannot be screened through x-ray due to size, volume, or contents; affix a security sticker indicating the applied security check procedure.
  • For cargo consignments that cannot be x-rayed or physically checked due to their nature, obtain certification from airline operators. Such consignments may be transported after observing a 24-hour cooling off period and screening by ETD.
  • Work pattern includes three shifts, including night shifts, irrespective of gender, with one weekly off on a rotation basis.
  • Report to the senior-most staff of the shift designated as Shift InCharge.
  • Perform any other functions as required by AIASL from time to time.

5. Job Description – Junior Officer-Security :-

  • Follow the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Cargo Security Manual of AIASL.
  • Work in three shifts, including night shifts, regardless of gender, with one weekly off on a rotation basis.
  • Report to the senior-most staff of the shift and ensure the implementation of all AVSEC functions assigned.
  • Take responsibility for access control, vehicle checks, ramp duties, CCTV monitoring, surveillance, cargo validation/inspection, etc.
  • Perform any other functions as required by AIASL from time to time.
