Assam Public Service Commission Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Residence Proof: Candidates must provide either a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration certificate along with the application.
  2. State Government Employees: Assam State Government employees do not need to submit domicile proof. However, they must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer or a copy of the acknowledged intimation letter for the NOC (if the process is underway) from the competent authority of their department.
  3. Upload Documents: Ensure necessary documents are uploaded as per requirements.

Education Qualifications:

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Advocate: Must be enrolled under the Advocate’s Act, 1961, and have at least 3 years of practice.
  • Judicial Officer: Must have served as a Judicial Officer for at least 3 years.
  • Chief Language Officer: Holding a Degree in Law, with at least 3 years of experience as Chief Language Officer in the Legislative Department, or 2 years of experience if previously practiced as an Advocate for 3 years.
  • Language Officer: Holding a Degree in Law, with at least 5 years of experience as a Language Officer in the Legislative Department, or 2 years of experience if previously practiced as an Advocate for 4 years.

Age Limit:

  • Applicants should be aged between 21 and 38 as of January 1, 2024.
  • Relaxation:
    • SC/ST candidates: Maximum age is 43 (with a 5-year relaxation).
    • OBC/MOBC candidates: Maximum age is 41 (with a 3-year relaxation) as per Government Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated April 25, 2018.
    • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD): Maximum age is 10 years higher than the standard limit, regardless of category, according to Government Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated January 7, 2019.

Note:

  • Document Requirements:
    • Age, caste, and minimum educational qualification certificates will be sourced from the OTR profile.
    • Candidates should update their OTR profile if additional documents are needed for the advertised post.
    • Age will be verified using Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet from a recognized Central/State Board/Council, displaying Age/Date of Birth (DOB) clearly.

Assam Public Service Commission Recruitment 2024 Application Fees:

In support of the Digital India initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, APSC has introduced its Online Recruitment portal with the assistance of CSC-SPV, a MeitY-approved organization. Each candidate will be charged a processing fee of Rs. 47.20/- (including 18% tax), as per Government Notification No. FEG.32/2016/8-A dated October 28, 2016, communicated via letter No. ABP.60/2014/11 dated February 2, 2018.

(i) To qualify for the reduced application fees applicable to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL candidates, they need to present a certificate from the appropriate authority verifying their category.

(ii) Applications submitted without the required fee will not be processed and will be rejected outright. No appeals against such rejections will be entertained.

(iii) Once the fees are paid, they will not be refunded under any circumstances, and they cannot be kept aside for any future exams or selections.
