The SSC GD 2024 notification states that 10% of vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen (ESM). If there aren’t enough ESM candidates, non-ESM candidates from the same categories will fill these reserved positions.

SSC GD Recruitment 2025 : Incentives for NCC candidates
The important date for this is January 1, 2025. The NCC certificate must be issued on or before this date to be eligible for the bonus marks.
Candidates will only receive incentive or bonus marks if they have selected the option for ‘NCC certificate’ in their SSC GD 2025 online application form.
SSC GD Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The recruitment process will include the following stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Medical Examination (DME/RME)
- Document Verification
Candidates will be shortlisted for these stages based on their merit in the CBT, and this will be done state-wise, area-wise, and category-wise.
Computer-Based Examination (CBE): Based on their computer test performance, candidates will be selected for the PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test). Ex-servicemen are exempt from these tests.

The PST (Physical Standard Test) is more detailed than the PET (Physical Efficiency Test). PST includes measurements of height, chest, and weight. Eligibility for any height and chest measurement relaxations will be reviewed by the CAPF Boards after the PET (race) and before the PST.
