Educational Qualification

1. Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-1)

• 12th Pass (HSC)
• ITI in Motor Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic / Welder / Auto Electrician
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License
• Minimum 3 years driving experience
• RTO endorsement for hazardous goods

2. PSI (Motor Transport)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering

3. PSI (Wireless) & Technical Operator

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Electronics & Communication
  • Electronics
  • Telecommunication
  • IT
  • Computer Engineering
    (4 years from recognized university)

Age Limit (As on 29 January 2026)

Head Constable Driver Mechanic

• Maximum: 33 Years
• Relaxation:
  • Women (General): +5 years
  • Reserved Men: +5 years
  • Reserved Women: +10 years (Max 45 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years
  • PWD Candidates: Up to +20 years (Max 45 years)

PSI (Motor Transport)

• Maximum: 35 Years
• Relaxation:
  • Women (General): +5 years
  • Reserved Men: +5 years
  • Reserved Women: +10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years

PSI (Wireless) & Technical Operator

• Maximum: 35 Years
• Same relaxation rules as above
• For serving Technical Operators applying for PSI: +3 years extra
